This article discusses the tension between ethics and aesthetics, from scenes of the documentary Edifício Master (2002), directed by Eduardo Coutinho. The images are analyzed on the basis of the methodology suggested by Diana Rose (2011), and enable the articulation between the concepts covered, in order to look at the artistic experience, beyond the work of art in itself.
