Abstract

This text aims to provide, from the work of a selected group of authors, an overview of studies on atmospheres within the cinematographic debate. In this context, it recognizes the importance of Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht’s research on Stimmung, a word which can be translated as climate, atmosphere and ambience and that allows us to observe the existing continuum between the body of the analyzed works and the affections of the viewer.
