The object of this article are the films the lives of Christian saints, such as Joan of Arc (Victor Fleming, 1948); St. Rita (Giorgio Capitani, 2004); Bernadette (Jean Delannoy, 1988); The Song of Bernadette (Henry King, 1943); Antonio, Warrior of God (Antonello Bellucco, 2006); Brother Sun, Sister Moon (Zeffirelli, 1972). Inspired by the work of Pamela Grace put these films in direct relationship with the biopic, we’ll make this author a critical dialogue, and will check the aesthetic and narrative elements characteristic of these productions in Cinema and Audiovisual. This paper seeks to demonstrate that a Filmic Hagiography is not a biopic or biography. Establishing the hagiographic movie as one of the genres that make up the field of Religious Film
