The essay undertakes the analysis of certain instances in Agnès Varda related to the idea of autobiography, the use of landscape and the connections between image, death and memory. In this sense, we reflect on the films The Beaches and Faces, Places, investigating how the problems that energized Varda's cinematography are updated in it's images: the anonymous places and people, the portraits, the wandering, the transit between self narrative and collective enunciation.
