This article intends to analyze the ways in which the aesthetic elements in Eisenstein addressed some historical data, shifting from the cognitive field to the artistic creation. Thus, the issues to be addressed are: a) what kind of historical narrative October and Battleship Potemkin show to the viewer? and b) from which parameters could we evaluate these narratives? Battleship Potemkin and October were chosen as the corpus of this work because these films narrated the great upheavals of the pre-revolutionary period, that is, the 1905 revolt and the period immediately before the Russian Revolution.
